Love in the City

{ Krista + Mike }

While in NYC for International Bridal Market I got to attend the Martha Stewart Platinum Party, the Knot Gala, and  Tassels + Tastemakers NYC Party!

Oh what fun it was! I stayed with an old friend in Williamsburg and was just buzzing with inspiration everywhere I went…

From the street art and old buildings, to the effortlessly cool style of everyone in the local coffee shop to the colorful Fall leaves.

It’s a city rich in history and has a pulse you can’t help but get drawn towards.

For this engagement session, we ran around Central Park and I was obsessed with every nook we found. I honestly kept us there too long and we started to run out of light and barely got to our next location and outfit!

I just couldn’t seem to leave the park without seeing something I HAD to capture.

But sometimes accidents turn into magic.

We were racing over to our second location I had scouted prior and got stuck in major traffic.

Krista was changing in the car while Mike raced us all over to West Village. I was dying over the amazing cobblestone roads and adorable store fronts…

As I watched the sun set and the anxiety set in, I just made a game time decision and told Mike to pull the Jeep over.

We were just going to shoot in the middle of the road!

(Yes, we all risked our lives for this shoot!)

We weren’t where I had originally intended, but getting the busy street, city lights, and cars actually felt more authentic to NYC anyways! I felt like it really captured the essence of the city and I got some cobblestone roads after all!
